Call for Applications: Johann-Georg-Zimmermann Award 2026 for Cancer Research

The prestigious Johann-Georg-Zimmermann Award is one of Germany’s highest honors in cancer research. This two-part award recognizes both young researchers and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to cancer prevention. Applications and nominations are open until January 31, 2026.

Hannover Medical School (MHH) has announced the Johann-Georg-Zimmermann Award 2026, one of Germany’s most significant accolades in cancer research. The award consists of two categories:

  • Research Award (10,000 EUR): Honors young researchers who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in cancer research.
  • Medal (2,500 EUR): Recognizes individuals who have shown outstanding commitment to combating cancer.
