Artan Stiftung
The Artan Foundation co-finances living expenses (up to CHF 2,000 per month) for short-term research stays of graduates of the Faculty of Medicine at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston for a maximum duration of one year, with return to Zurich required.
The stay at MIT must already be secured at the time of application.

Georg Friedrich Götz Stiftung
Founded in 1964, the foundation aims to recognize outstanding scientific and practical achievements in the field of medicine through the awarding of prizes.
The Georg Friedrich Götz Foundation is administered by the UZH Foundation.
Kurt & Senta Hermann Stiftung
The Kurt & Senta Herrmann Foundation supports projects in cancer and rheumatology research. The Faculty of Medicine at UZH is responsible for the scientific evaluation of applications.
The deadlines for submission are 20 May and 31 December each year.

Olga Mayenfisch Stiftung
The Olga Mayenfisch Foundation supports medical research in Switzerland. Applications are generally considered from early-career researchers (at group leader level) and from assistant professors.
Walter & Gertrud Siegenthaler Stiftung
Founded in 2003, the foundation aims to support early-career academics in the field of medicine at the University of Zurich.
The Walter & Gertrud Siegenthaler Foundation is administered by the UZH Foundation.
Jahrespreis / Annual Prize
Each calendar year, the faculties propose one outstanding dissertation for the award of an annual prize of CHF 5,000. The Faculty of Medicine awards the prize to Dr. med., Dr. med. dent., Dr. med. chiro., and Dr. sc. med. The call for applications is announced each September by the Rectorate, and the prize is presented at the following Dies Academicus (April of the subsequent year).

The criteria for evaluating the annual prize of the Faculty of Medicine at UZH are scientific quality and academic excellence, originality or innovative content of the work, relevance to the field, and significant publication or research impact.

Semesterpreis / Semester Prize
Each semester, the faculty may propose outstanding master’s theses for the award of a semester prize. Applications must be submitted by the supervisor of the master’s thesis.
