UZH Community Invited to Shape Future Healthcare at Digital Health Design Challenge

The Faculty of Medicine encourages students and researchers to join the third annual Healthathon to co-create innovative solutions for continuous patient care.

The Digital Health Design Challenge returns for its third edition on March 14 at the Toni Areal to bridge the critical gap between medical guidance and daily routine. This one-day Healthathon explicitly invites students, alumni, and staff from the University of Zurich to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams alongside designers and healthcare professionals. Under the specific theme From Guidance to Routine Co-Creating Educative Futures of Continuous Care participants will tackle real-world cases to improve long-term patient outcomes. The event serves as a launchpad for innovation where teams can network with experts and develop concrete solutions for complex medical challenges. Promising concepts generated during this session can subsequently be submitted for project funding to ensure their further development and implementation. By fostering this cross-pollination of ideas between medicine and design the initiative aims to transform how continuous care is delivered in the digital age.
