Accessibility in Teaching and Research

According to the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) "a person with a disability is a person who, due to a physical, mental or psychological impairment which is likely to be permanent, finds it difficult or is unable to carry out everyday tasks, cultivate social contacts, move around, obtain an education or training, or work".

These people are particularly dependent on the support of their fellow human beings and the structures offered to them in their everyday working and educational lives.

Their equality in education is established by law through the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
