Call open: SNSF Starting Grant – Deadline: 1 February 2023

Are you a young researcher with an interesting idea and would like to establish and lead your own group? Or do you recently established your group and are looking for additional funding? Deadline: 1 February 2023

The Swiss government mandated the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) to launch the SNSF Starting Grant 2023. This call integrates the SNSF's previous Eccellenza and PRIMA programmes and the EU's ERC-2023-StG replacement.

The scheme is open to all disciplines and the sole criterion of evaluation is scientific excellence. Applicants, who are between >2 and ≤8 years after their PhD defence or between <5 and ≤12 years after their medical degree are eligible.

The budget can be up to CHF 1.8 million for a period of up to five years.
The call closes on 1 February 2023.
